Energy efficiency

portfolio valuation to manage and comply with IMO EEXI and CII Regulations and other ESG requirements

BestShip makes holistic portfolio assessments of vessels in terms of “green requirements” (energy efficiency and future compliance) and executes the necessary conversion/ retrofit measures. Our services range from design work for the refits to comprehensive project management.

Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI), as well as the Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII), can be determined by the BestShip team for every vessel. Every vessel must meet the set-out EEXI requirements by the beginning of 2023. Learn more about our Impactlab Tool, our in-house designed modular database, and contact us now! Vessels can also be evaluated against other standards, like Poseidon Principles or Sea Cargo Charter.

Riding Gangs

A perfect answer to your demands

Cost-efficient ship management has to cover a vessel’s situational, seasonal, and individual needs and requirements. The practical answer for time-consuming repair works between port stays are ‘Riding Gangs’. Deck and engine riding gangs are in operation. These teams provide a unique qualification and expertise and travel directly from vessel to vessel, saving travel times and expenses.

Do you need to find a suitable dock slot? Based on the redelivery date and port of your vessel, BestShip proves relevant technical data, considers seasonal conditions and regional characteristics and presents you as a result an overview of docking options with respective prices.

For urgent repairs, we benefit from a large global network of highly qualified repair companies around the world and organize a highly trustworthy repair partner, usually within 24 hours. Costs are openly communicated in full transparency. Bestship riding gangs can be deployed as well if feasible

SOx Emission Reduction

BestShip has been installing Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (scrubbers) on various vessel series and is working with all marketable systems types. Our service scope ranges from the overall project management to organizing and supervising individual steps along the process only, like 3D laser scanning, basic design concepts, detailed engineering, on-board preparation through Riding Gangs, supervision of the installation. We combine the fitting of scrubbers with the installation of other necessary equipment e.g. Ballast Water Treatment Systems. In the scope of the design process we continuously consider the modifications that will be necessary for the future.
